FSR (Master Electrician) Renewal in BC
In 2018 Technical Safety BC announced the new requirement for Field Safety Representatives (Master Electricians) to renew their certification every 3 years by their birthdate.
In the first cycle (2018), Master Electricians were required to only register their designation as active and pay the fee. However, for the 2021 cycle (and future cycles) will require Master Electricians to have completed 8 hours of continuing education courses that have been approved by Technical Safety BC.
CURRENT UPDATE: (July 2019)
All FSRs (Master Electricians) must complete their first cycle registration (2018) by July 31, 2019.
As of the current date, Technical Safety BC has not opened an approval process for courses.
SparkBC will be submitting several course options when the approval process opens and will alert subscribers when approved courses are available.
SparkBC course options will include LIVE and ONLINE formats.
