FSR (Master Electrician) Renewal in BC
In 2018 Technical Safety BC announced the new requirement for Field Safety Representatives (Master Electricians) to renew their certification every 3 years by their birthdate.
In the first cycle (2018), Master Electricians were required to only register their designation as active and pay the fee. However, the 2021 cycle (and future cycles) will require Master Electricians to have completed 8 hours of continuing education in the form of "code change training" through one of the courses approved by Technical Safety BC.
CURRENT UPDATE: (December 2019)
All FSRs (Master Electricians) must complete their first cycle registration (2018) by July 31, 2019.
SparkBC is now a Technical Safety BC Recognized Education Provider for FSR certification renewal continuing education.
SparkBC currently offers live training dates in 2020 and will be offering an online course option in January 2020.
